Contact's headline deal is for people who want electricity plus broadband and/or mobile -- see Contact's official offer page. For an electricity-only comparison, check our power company guide.
Contact Energy Coupon vs Promo Code vs Discount Code: What's the Difference?
When searching for a "Contact Energy coupon", "Contact Energy promo code", or "Contact Energy discount code", you're looking for the same thing – a way to reduce your power bill. The current Contact deal uses promo code BROADBAND25 when adding broadband to your electricity account at contact.co.nz/offer. No voucher needed – just apply the code during sign-up and the monthly credits are applied automatically to your electricity bill.
Contact Energy: Up to $50 Off Your Power Bill Every Month for a Year
Contact promotes up to $50 off your electricity bill each month for 12 months when you qualify for both the broadband and mobile energy-credit offers. T&Cs, fair use, and eligibility apply—always confirm the latest wording on contact.co.nz/offer before you sign up.
In short (from Contact’s public offer copy):
- Electricity credit is applied across 12 months; broadband is not available without electricity at the same address.
- Modem and postage charges may apply for broadband.
- Mobile: excludes the Extra Small plan; you must activate your SIM within 30 days of mobile sign-up to receive those credits.
- Limited time—Contact can change or end the offer.
How to get your energy credit
Add broadband
Add Contact broadband to your Contact electricity account using promo code BROADBAND25 and get $25 off your power bill every month for a year (as described on the offer page).

Add mobile
Bring your mobile to Contact, choose an eligible endless data pay monthly plan, and activate your SIM within 30 days to get $25 off your power bill every month for a year. Use the same name and email as on your Contact electricity account so credits can be matched.

How the energy credit works
- Once broadband is connected, you can receive twelve monthly $25 energy credits ($300 including GST) on your electricity account.
- If you also add mobile and activate within 30 days, you can receive another twelve × $25 ($300 including GST)—up to $600 in credits if you qualify for both tracks.
- On your bill, each $25 credit may show as $21.74 excluding GST on a PDF bill and $25 including GST on digital billing (as Contact describes).
Anything else you need to know?
- If you cancel broadband and/or mobile before the last scheduled credits, remaining credits for that service can be forfeited (per Contact’s terms).
- You need residential electricity with Contact at the address; broadband requires you to keep electricity on that product.
- Mobile credits go to your electricity account—you need to stay on Contact electricity to remain eligible.
- When adding mobile, enter your account number correctly so Contact can apply the credit.
- Not available on PrePay; standard residential payment plans only; other restrictions apply—read Contact’s broadband offer terms and mobile offer terms linked from that page.
Contact promo code: BROADBAND25 (broadband)
For the broadband path, Contact’s terms state you must apply promo code BROADBAND25 when signing up at contact.co.nz so the offer is applied correctly to your electricity account.
The old CONTACT300 promotion is not the current public offer—use the details on contact.co.nz/offer.
